Knoppix is a Debian based Linux distribution running on a CD drive without using the hard drive or installing any files onto the hard drive. It has excellent hardware detection, and is a versatile tool. It allows you to try out Linux without installing it, includes several tools that can fix a b0rked Windows or Linux install, and has tons of productivity software bundled. This CD contains openOffice 2, Firefox, games, KDE 3.4, and many more goodies. After you download the iso, burn the image to a cd, and boot any computer with it in the drive.
